A SACRED TRADITION: Sage is a traditional medicine plant of the Native American peoples, used for healing and ceremony. It is used for cleansing and purification, and to open people up to a greater connection with the sacred. It is thought to banish negative energy, not only on the physical level, but also emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It has a very aromatic, sharp and stimulating smell, and its action works on all the senses.

Charcoal tablets are commonly used to burn resin, herbs, and incense. Here's how to use them to burn resin:

1. Choose a heat-resistant container: It's important to use a container that can withstand high temperatures. A small ceramic bowl or a metal incense burner are good options.

2. Place the charcoal tablet in the container: Use a pair of tongs to hold the charcoal tablet and light it with a lighter or match. Once it starts to spark and smoke, place it in the container.

3. Wait for the charcoal to heat up: It will take a few minutes for the charcoal tablet to get hot enough to start burning resin. You'll know it's ready when the surface turns gray and the edges start to glow red.

4. Add the resin: Once the charcoal tablet is hot, sprinkle a small amount of resin on top. The resin will start to smolder and release fragrant smoke.

5. Enjoy the aroma: As the resin burns, it will release a fragrant smoke that can be used for meditation, spiritual practices, or to create a relaxing atmosphere.

6. Monitor the burning: Keep an eye on the resin and the charcoal tablet while they're burning. Make sure the container is on a heat-resistant surface and away from any flammable materials. When you're finished, use tongs to carefully remove the charcoal tablet and let it cool completely before disposing of it.

It's important to note that burning resin can produce smoke and fumes that can be harmful if inhaled in large quantities. Always use in a well-ventilated area and avoid burning resin for extended periods of time.
